Respected Spanish football expert, Guillem Balague, has claimed that Paris Saint-Germain forward Lionel Messi has set conditions for his contract renewal to remain at the club beyond this summer transfer window.
According to Balague, Messi wants assurances from PSG that they will continue to invest in players in a bid to continue to be a competitive team and also keep teammate Kylian Mbappe at the club.
BBC Sport is quoting the reliable transfer guru as reporting that Messi is ready to stay with PSG if they accept his conditions.
Messi’s current contract with PSG will end in June this year.
The Argentine captain has been in contract talks with the Parisians for the last few months, but he is yet to pen a new deal with the French Ligue 1 champions.
The 35-year-old also has interest from his former club Barcelona and other clubs.
