Manchester United have revived their interest in Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong, according to The Guardian.
De Jong was United manager Erik ten Hag's No 1 target during last summer's transfer window but the Netherlands international did not want to leave Barcelona.
Although the La Liga giants were prepared to sell De Jong due to financial constraints, the 25-year-old has since been a regular in Xavi's side, making 32 appearances this season.
The Guardian claims De Jong is not seeking a move at the moment, although that could change at the end of the campaign.
Firmino to leave Liverpool at end of the season
In case you missed it yesterday...
Roberto Firmino will leave Liverpool at the end of the season, according to Sky Germany sources.
The 31-year-old striker has decided not to renew his expiring contract and will part ways with the club in the summer after eight successful years.
Firmino personally informed manager Jurgen Klopp about his decision and had positive talks with him on Friday.
Klopp had expressed several times that he wanted to work with Firmino beyond this summer, but the player has now decided to leave with his next move still undecided.
